Temporary Staffing Shortage
Due to a temporary staffing shortage, we will not be available for scheduled rides after 9:00 p.m. We expect our service for scheduled late night trips to resume in November.

Transportation for South Dakota Medicaid
We have made the painful decision to cease being a South Dakota Medicaid secure medical transportation provider. Medicaid rates have not kept pace with the cost of operations, to the point where a typical reimbursement for transport covers less than half of the cost giving the ride. As vaccinations roll on throughout the state, Wheelchair Express Sioux Falls continues to take its role in the current public health crisis seriously. Because of the spread of COVID-19 variants that are vaccine-resistant, we will continue to have everyone–drivers and passengers–masked in our vehicles.
